Viennese Nights: A Grand Victorian Ball Saturday, January 28, 7:00 pm at the Balboa Park Club

| Come celebrate the music, the dances, and the romance of the Strauss Era at San Diego's premier Viennese Ball! The Grand Pacific Waltz Orchestra will provide live authentic period music for waltzes, polkas, quadrilles and more. Renowned SF Bay Area dance mistress Joan Walton will precept, as well as conduct a 12-2 pm dance workshop at the Ball venue. Hosted by the San Diego Vintage Dance Society.

Ball "Survival" Workshop Saturday, Jan 28, Noon - 2:00 pm Balboa Park Club
Renowned SF Bay Area dance mistress Joan Walton will conduct a 2-hour workshop covering this year's Viennese Nights dance selections. Pay at the door: $20 general, $15 students/military w/ID. Ball attendance is not required. Hosted by the San Diego Vintage Dance Society.

Titanic 100th Anniversary Weekend . . . April 6-8
Hosted by the San Diego Vintage Dance Society, this will be a full weekend of 1912 music, dancing, and other period activities, commemorating the glorious ocean liner that was lost 100 years ago.

A genuine Edwardian Music Hall (Friday) will feature Ian Whitcomb and friends, and will include selections from his award-winning album, Titanic (pictured). Saturday night's Grand Ball will also feature live authentic period music, provided by San Diego's very own Heliotrope Ragtime Orchestra. Included in the weekend: a private costumed lunch (Saturday) at the Coronado Boathouse, and a special, discounted group tour (Sunday) of the NAT's Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition.
